Avocado and Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Avocado and Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Avocado is now my new favourite thing to put in smoothies, it makes it taste ever so creamy and sooo delicious!

We made the Chocolate Mint one yesterday and this morning we made an Avocado and Mango Smoothie which was equally scrummy!

Here is what we did,

Ingredients:
1 Avocado,
2 Bananas
A few sprigs of mint,
Teaspoon of Psyllium husk
A dash of balsamic,
A squeeze of honey,
Soya milk (or milk of your choice)
Coco powder

Blend everything together apart from the coco powder,
Spoon half the mixture into a posh glass, and then blend the rest with your favourite coco and then spoon the rest in.
A sprig of mint on top to be fancy, and hey presto, your new favourite breakfast/dessert!

We also recorded the sounds of making the smoothie to make a "Musique Concrete" style song and piece of art work using my old Wire magazines.  A Very avant-garde day!
Here

Enjoy!

Remedies and Products of the month - Hayfever

It's getting lighter and brighter, and we are all getting a bit smilier :)
But for some of you are suffering with the onset of hayfever, maybe you could do with a little help to get that smile brighter.

Here are a few things that could get you back to "normal" again, without having to resort to drowsy antihistamines that could potentially damage your liver.

Natural remedies for that cheeky hayfever

Pukka's Peppermint and Pippali Capsules - for seasonal allergic rhinitis and hayfever with sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose and wheezing. The warming spices helps to dry mucus secretions and stop sneezing and itching.

Vitamin C - a natural antihistamine and a great support for your immune system at the same time!
Delicious high vitamin C foods - bell peppers, strawberries, kiwi, kale, cabbage and oranges.

Herbs -Elderflower, ribwort and eyebright are anti-catarrhal and reduce your sensitivity to allergens, as do chamomile, nettles, and echinacea.

Reduce or cut out dairy products.

Eat local honey.

Essential Oils

Eucalyptus, Niaouli or Tea Tree oil on a handkerchief and use it when an attack occurs.

Pop in a have a chat with our lovely staff if you need any advice about your hayfever woes and any other ailment,
